Article VII : AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION

  The constitution may be altered, amended, or repeal by the general body to the procedures stated below.

Section 1: Two thirds majority of the Board of Trustees can present an amendment, after proper discussion, for the need and after approval of the same can submitted to the general body for rectification. The Board of trustees should inform the Grand Patrons and Patrons for the need for amendment to the constitution. The amendment, alteration or repeal of the constitution shall be implemented from the next calendar year.

 

Article VIII: NOMINATION COMMITTEE

  The President with the approval of the Board of Trustees shall appoint nominating committee members. The Nominating Committee shall constitute of 5 members out of which two from the Board of Trustees and two from the general body membership and immediate past president will chair the committee. The nominating committee shall have the following responsibilities.

1. Receive nominations for the Trustees as submitted by a voting member of the organization 2. Prepare a slate of candidates for Trustees to succeed those whose term expires 3. Present the slate and other candidates to the board through the current /president. If the election is required, the president shall promptly forward the slate and other candidates to the election committee for conducting the election.

 

Article IX : ELECTION COMMITTEE

  The President with the approval of the board of trustees shall appoint five members. The President, 2 from board of Trustees, 2 from general body members to the Election committee. The Primary function of the Executive Committee shall be to conduct the election for board of trustees and to the Executive Committee. The Committee shall promptly send the certified copy of the results to the President and Board of Trustees.

 

Article X: THE AUDIT COMMITTEE:

    The auditing committee consists of 2 board members and one independent member with the accounting background. The function of the committee is to audit the financial transactions and treasurer's reports quarterly in a fiscal year and also to submit an annual report to the Board of trustees through the President.
