Biography of the founder: Koteswara Rao Batchu is born in year 1949 in the town of Peddapuram. He graduated from Sri. Veeraju High School in the year 1963 and studied in Loyola College, Vijayawada before joining Banares Hindu University for Pre Medical. He graduated from Andhra Medical College and got his M.B.B.S. degree. He moved to New Delhi Willingdon Hospital to finish his residency in Pediatrics. He later moved to Chicago, USA where after further residency training in Pediatrics, settled in Downers Grove, Illinois, in his private practice in Pediatrics and Family Medicine. He runs his clinic with the help of his wife Denise and also Medical school and High school students, whom he mentors. He is married to Denise Batchu and had 3 children Rachael, Amy and Sarah from his former wife Barbara Loeb, M.D. Koteswara Batchu has organized relief for the victims of Bhopal Union Carbide Plant disaster and Worked with Mother Teressa and Missionaries of Charity. He was recognized by various community organizations like TANA and ATA in USA.

Koteswara Batchu has started Americans and Indians for the Development of India in USA (AID India ) and got tax exemption status solely for the purpose of developing the infrastructure of Peddapuram. He founded Batchu Foundation as an extension of AID India.

Dr. Batchu founded IMSA, International School (First Digital School in India) in Peddapuram, AP India in the year 1996 to integrate education at elementary, secondary and higher secondary levels in the villages and thus raise the standards of education.

Dr. Batchu pledges more than 75% of his income each year to AID India and Batchu Foundation for the development of the communities in and around Peddapuram. His contributions over the years exceeded more than 15 million dollars
